The itinerary builder is where your trip plans come to life. It's a 3-column workspace that lets you build day-by-day itineraries with drag-and-drop blocks, add gorgeous images, and save your best work as reusable templates. Once you've built a few trips, you'll have a library that makes new itineraries feel like filling in the blanks.
The builder is split into three columns that work together:
| Column | What you'll use it for |
|---|---|
| Day List (left) | Navigate between days, see your trip at a glance, and access Trip Guides |
| Day Editor (center) | Build out each day — add blocks, edit details, drag to reorder |
| Library Panel (right) | Browse your saved templates and community content to drop into any day |
On tablets and smaller screens, the library panel tucks away and the day list becomes a dropdown — so you still have full access, just in a more compact layout. Block edit and delete buttons are always visible on touch devices, so you don't need to hover to find them.
Each day is made up of blocks — think of them as the building pieces of your itinerary. Click Add Block at the bottom of any day and choose from:
Each block type has its own set of fields tailored to what you'd actually need for that kind of booking. Fill in as much or as little detail as you want.
Not every situation calls for the same level of detail. Toggle between three views at the top of the day editor:
Hotel and venue blocks support multiple images — upload several photos and they'll display as a swipeable carousel on the published itinerary. Your clients see left/right arrows and dot indicators to browse through them. A well-chosen hotel photo or two can make your itinerary feel polished and professional.
The right sidebar is your secret weapon for building itineraries fast. It has two tabs:
Use the scope filter to narrow by type (Full Itinerary, Day Plan, or Content Block) and the source filter to switch between My Library and Community content. Click any template to insert it into your current day.
After you've crafted a great block or a perfect day plan, save it so you never have to build it from scratch again.
Click the bookmark icon on any block. Give it a name and choose who can see it:
Click the bookmark icon in the day header to save all the blocks in that day as a reusable day plan. Same visibility options apply.
Over time, you'll build a library of your go-to hotel blocks, transfer templates, and full day plans for your most popular destinations.
The Trip Guides section in the left sidebar lets you attach helpful documents and reference material to the trip. Click Add Resource and choose a type:
Guides show up alongside the itinerary in your client's proposal and portal view — so they have everything they need in one place.
Fuse is a floating AI assistant that lives in the itinerary builder. Click the sparkles button in the bottom-right corner to open it, then describe what you want to add in plain language — Fuse reads your existing itinerary and suggests blocks for the right days.
How it works:
Tips for getting the most out of Fuse:
What Fuse doesn't do: It won't edit or delete blocks you've already built — it only adds new ones. For changes to existing blocks, use the block editor directly.
Need a complete starting point from scratch? Use the AI button in the top toolbar to generate a full day-by-day draft based on your client's destination, trip length, travel style, and interests. It creates the whole skeleton at once — useful for destinations you don't book as often.
Fuse is better for targeted additions after you've already started building. The toolbar AI generator is better when you want a full first draft.
When you already have an itinerary in another format — a cruise line PDF, a confirmation email, or a planning page on the web — use AI Import in the toolbar to bring it in instead of typing it out. Pick what you're importing (general, cruise, flight, or hotel) and choose a source:
.pdf and .txt files, up to 10 MB. TripIt PDFs are auto-detected.The AI parses the content into days and blocks, which you can review and adjust before saving.
If you've already added bookings to the trip (flights, hotels, etc.), the itinerary builder can auto-populate blocks from those bookings. This saves you from entering the same flight details or hotel info twice.
Can I export the itinerary as a PDF? Yes — use the PDF export option to generate a formatted document you can email or print.
Do clients see the same view I see? Clients see a polished, read-only version on their proposal or portal. It includes all the details, images, and carousels — but not the editing controls.
Can I reorder days? Yes, drag days in the left sidebar to rearrange them. Dates update automatically.
Create self-service group booking pages where travelers can pick packages, fill forms, and book — all from a single shareable link.
Build a single proposal where the client picks one hotel AND one set of tickets AND one excursion — instead of forcing them to choose just one option.
The magazine-tab hero cards that appear at the top of your clients' public itinerary — how they work, when they show, and how to make them shine.
