JourneyFuse Clipper (Chrome Extension)

Last updated September 13, 2026

The JourneyFuse Clipper is a Chrome extension with two jobs. First, it clips tours, excursions, and hotels from any website you're browsing straight into a trip in JourneyFuse, so you don't have to retype what you're already looking at. Second, it helps you bring over your task lists, email templates, and automations from your old CRM, using copy and paste.

Installing the Clipper

The Clipper isn't in the public Chrome Web Store listing yet, so use the install link your JourneyFuse contact sent you rather than searching for it in the store.

  1. Open the install link in Chrome.
  2. Click Add to Chrome, then Add extension to confirm.
  3. Pin the icon so it's always visible: click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome's toolbar, find JourneyFuse Clipper, and click the pin next to it.

Connecting the Clipper to Your Account

The Clipper needs to know which JourneyFuse account and workspace to send things to.

  1. Click the Clipper icon in your toolbar.
  2. Click Connect to JourneyFuse.
  3. A JourneyFuse tab opens. Make sure you're signed in, then confirm the connection on the Connect page.

That's it. The Clipper icon shows you're connected from then on.

To disconnect or check the connection, go to Settings → Connected apps inside JourneyFuse. You can disconnect the Clipper from there at any time; you'll need to reconnect it from the extension before clipping again.

Clipping an Activity to a Trip

This is the main day-to-day use: you're on a tour operator's website, and you want that tour on a client's trip without retyping the name, price, and description.

  1. Open the tour or excursion page in Chrome.
  2. Click the Clipper icon.
  3. Look over the preview. The Clipper pulls in what it can find on the page — title, description, price, photos — and does its best to guess the rest. Any field marked Check was guessed, so give those a look before saving.
  4. Choose Activity on a trip.
  5. Pick the trip, then pick the day you want it to land on.
  6. Click Save.

Once it's saved, the activity becomes a real booking in JourneyFuse and a stop on that day's itinerary. Up to four photos from the page are stored in JourneyFuse along with it.

A couple of things worth knowing:

  • Prices in another currency aren't added automatically. If the page you clipped is priced in a currency other than your own, you'll see a warning and you'll need to enter the price by hand.
  • Made a mistake? The save confirmation includes an Undo button, good for 30 minutes after you clip. After that, just edit or delete the booking directly in JourneyFuse.

Saving to Your Library

Not every page you clip needs to go straight onto a trip. Two other options appear on hotel and activity pages:

  • Save to Library — saves the hotel or activity to your JourneyFuse Library, so you can pull it into any trip or proposal later without visiting the page again.
  • Form — turns a page's questions into a JourneyFuse form. Handy for a supplier's intake questionnaire or a waiver. Forms created this way are switched off by default, so review and turn one on before you send it to a client.

Bringing Data Over From Your Old CRM

If you're moving from another CRM, the Clipper can help you bring over three things: email templates, automations, and task lists.

Why copy and paste

Most CRMs don't let outside tools connect and pull data out automatically, so the Clipper never reads your old CRM directly. Instead, you open your old CRM, copy the item you want (an email template, an automation, a task list), and paste it into the Clipper. It's a bit more manual than a one-click import, but it works with any CRM, including ones with no export feature at all.

Some example platforms advisors commonly move from: Tern, Travefy, TravelJoy, TESS, and others.

Setting up a batch

  1. Open the Clipper and choose what you're bringing over: Email templates, Automations, or Task lists.
  2. Set up the batch: which supplier it applies to, which trip stage it belongs to, or which folder it should land in.
  3. Go to your old CRM, copy one item, come back to the Clipper, and click Add to batch.
  4. Repeat for each item you want in this batch.

Reviewing before you commit

Once you've added everything to the batch, click through to Preview. This is where you clean things up before anything is created in JourneyFuse:

  • Change the supplier or trip-stage chips on any item if the Clipper guessed wrong.
  • Accept suggested fixes, like a template missing a first-name field.
  • Handle duplicates: Keep both, Skip, or Replace.

When everything looks right, click Add.

What happens after

  • Everything you bring over arrives switched off and private to you. Nothing goes live, and nobody else on your team sees it until you decide to share or turn it on.
  • An automation only starts running on trips for the supplier you chose once you switch it on, and every email step still asks you to confirm before it sends — nothing goes out to a client automatically just because you brought the automation over.
  • If a step in your old CRM has no JourneyFuse equivalent, it's listed separately in the results so you can recreate it by hand rather than being silently dropped.
  • Made a mistake with a whole batch? Click Undo batch to remove everything the batch created.

A Reminder About Permissions

Only save photos and text you have permission to use. A page's images and descriptions may belong to the supplier or another business — check before clipping content you plan to show to clients.

Troubleshooting

"The Clipper isn't turned on for your workspace yet" The Clipper is currently in beta. Contact JourneyFuse support to get it enabled for your workspace.

"Connect the Clipper to your JourneyFuse account" Your connection has expired or was never completed. Click the Clipper icon and go through Connect to JourneyFuse again — see Connecting the Clipper to Your Account above.

Nothing was found in what you pasted Make sure you copied the whole item, not just a fragment. For a task list, include the task names and due dates. For an email template, include both the subject and the body. For an automation, include each step and its timing. Then try adding it to the batch again.

"This page can't be clipped" The Clipper can only read normal web pages. It can't clip a browser's own pages (like chrome:// settings or a new tab page), and some sites block extensions from reading their content entirely. If a specific supplier site never works, try copying the details manually instead.
