Install in three steps

  1. 1

Add it from the Chrome Web Store

Click Add to Chrome above. The Clipper’s Chrome Web Store page opens. Click Add to Chrome there, then Add extension.

  2. 2

    Pin it to your toolbar

Click the puzzle piece icon to the right of the address bar, find JourneyFuse Clipper, and click the pin next to it.

  3. 3

    Connect it to JourneyFuse

Click the Clipper icon, then Connect to JourneyFuse. A JourneyFuse tab opens. Sign in if asked and confirm. You can see or disconnect connected browsers anytime under Settings → Connected apps.

Chrome keeps the Clipper up to date on its own, so there’s nothing to download when we release a new version.

Already using the beta zip?

Switch to the Web Store version so you get updates automatically. Open chrome://extensions, click Remove on JourneyFuse Clipper (beta), then follow the three steps above and connect again. Your clips and Library are saved in JourneyFuse, so nothing is lost.

Can’t use the Web Store? Install from a zip

If your computer blocks the Chrome Web Store, you can load the Clipper by hand instead. Version 0.1.2.

  1. 1

    Download and unzip

Download the zip, then open it. You’ll get a folder named journeyfuse-clipper. Move it somewhere it can stay, like your Documents folder. Chrome loads the Clipper from that folder, so don’t delete it afterwards.

  2. 2

    Open Chrome’s extensions page

Type chrome://extensions into Chrome’s address bar and press Enter.

  3. 3

    Turn on Developer mode

Flip the Developer mode switch in the top right corner. This is only needed for the zip version.

  4. 4

    Load the folder

Click Load unpacked and choose the journeyfuse-clipper folder (the folder itself, not a file inside it). JourneyFuse Clipper (beta) appears in your list.

  5. 5

    Pin it to your toolbar

Click the puzzle piece icon to the right of the address bar, find JourneyFuse Clipper (beta), and click the pin next to it.

  6. 6

    Connect it to JourneyFuse

Click the Clipper icon, then Connect to JourneyFuse. A JourneyFuse tab opens. Sign in if asked and confirm. You can see or disconnect connected browsers anytime under Settings → Connected apps.

Updating the zip version: download the new zip from this page and unzip it over your existing journeyfuse-clipper folder, replacing the files. Then click the reload arrow on the Clipper’s card in chrome://extensions. You stay connected.

If something doesn’t work

Load unpacked says the manifest file is missing
Zip install only: you picked the wrong folder. Choose the journeyfuse-clipper folder that has manifest.json directly inside it, not the zip and not a folder above it.
The Clipper disappeared after a restart
Zip install only: the folder was moved or deleted. Put it back (or download it again) and repeat steps 4 and 5, or switch to the Web Store version, which doesn’t depend on a folder.
Chrome warns about developer mode extensions
That notice appears for any extension loaded from a zip. It’s safe to close, and the Web Store version doesn’t show it.
