Not every client is mid-booking. A lot of your business, especially early on, comes from people who already know and trust you: past travelers, friends, referrals, your sphere. Nobody expects an automated email from you, they expect a text, a call, or a quick "thought of you" note. A check-in reminder is a personal nudge to do exactly that, on a cadence you set.
JourneyFuse never sends anything to the client automatically here. A check-in reminder only surfaces on your own Clients page as a signal that it's time for you to reach out yourself. Nothing changes for a client until you set one.
The default for every client is No reminder, so nothing is on unless you turn it on.
On the Clients page, in table view, tick the checkboxes next to the people you want. A bar appears above the table with a Check-in button (next to Tag and Export). Pick one of the same four intervals to apply it to everyone selected, or choose No reminder to clear it from the group.
There's no separate page or list to learn. Reminders surface right on the Clients page, alongside the Last touch column, through the Needs follow-up chip.
Any real contact with the client resets their interval, including:
Notes on the Timeline can be logged as a call, an email, or a meeting, so picking up the phone or texting someone and logging it afterward counts too. Automated system emails don't reset the clock, since those aren't you reaching out.
If a client already has a trip underway, you don't need to think about this at all. They're already being watched on your agency's own follow-up window, and putting a long check-in reminder on them won't slow that down or let them slip through the cracks.
Tag your sphere with something like SOI, Sphere, or Past clients, then use Filter by tag on the Clients page to pull up just that group. Tags and check-in reminders are independent of each other: the tag is how you group the people, the reminder is what nudges you to actually reach out.
Does JourneyFuse email the client for me when a reminder comes due? No. A check-in reminder never sends anything to the client. It only shows on your own Clients page as a signal to reach out yourself, however you'd naturally do it: text, call, or email.
What happens if I don't set anything? Nothing changes. The default is No reminder, so a client's follow-up status is unaffected until you or someone on your team sets one.
Will a check-in reminder interfere with a client who's actively planning a trip? No. Clients with a trip in progress are already tracked on your agency's own follow-up window, so a check-in reminder set on them has no effect on that.
Can I clear a reminder later? Yes. Set it back to No reminder on the client's Personal tab, or select multiple clients and choose No reminder from the Check-in bulk action.
