What Each Commission Status Means

Last updated September 27, 2026

Every commission an advisor can see carries a short status label and, once it is filed, three progress dots. This page lists every label, so an agency can answer "what does this mean?" with one link.

Tip. Click any status label under Commissions to see the same explanation on screen, with the three steps and which ones are done.

The three dots

Each filed commission shows three dots, in order:

  1. Approved: the agency accepted the commission.
  2. Supplier paid: the supplier's money reached the agency. Advisors affiliated with a host agency see Host paid instead.
  3. Trip complete: the trip has ended. This dot only appears when the agency holds payouts until travel is over.

A dot turns green when that step happens. A grey dot is not a problem, it only means that step has not happened yet. When the commission is paid, all three dots are green and the label shows a check mark.

Proposals already create the commission

When a client accepts a proposal, JourneyFuse creates the booking on the trip with its commission already on it. The booking card says From the proposal · commission tracked, nothing more to log.

There is no need to log that booking again:

  • Recording the same sale under Commissions shows a "You're already tracking this one" warning before it saves.
  • Adding a booking to the trip for a supplier it already has shows a warning with an Open that booking button. If it really is a separate cabin or room, save it as usual.

Removing a duplicate

Keep the booking that came from the proposal. Open the extra booking on the trip, click ... and choose Delete. Its commission is removed with it. A commission that has already been paid out cannot be deleted this way, so ask the agency to handle it.

This is part of JourneyFuse’s travel commission tracking: expected commissions, supplier statements and payouts.
